Buck — Your portfolio. Roasted.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Buck ("the App", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Buck is a personal investment tracking app. We built it to help you track your portfolio — not to sell your data.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

Email address (when you sign up with email/password)
Apple ID identifier (when you use Sign in with Apple)
A display name, if you choose to set one

Portfolio & Financial Data You Enter

Stock, ETF, crypto, and other asset positions you add (symbol, quantity, average cost)
Transaction history (buys/sells) you record in the App
Watchlists and price alerts you configure
Optional risk-profile preferences you provide during onboarding (e.g. "aggressive", "balanced")

This data is entered by you for tracking purposes only. Buck does not connect to brokerage accounts, does not execute trades, and does not have access to your bank or investment accounts.

Usage & Device Data

App usage analytics (screens viewed, features used, crash reports)
Device identifiers used for advertising (if you see ads in the free tier)
General device information (OS version, device model) for debugging

Purchase Information

Subscription status and purchase history for Buck Pro, processed via Apple's App Store / Google Play billing and our subscription management provider
We do not receive or store your payment card details — these are handled entirely by Apple/Google

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide core functionality: track your portfolio, calculate performance, and generate commentary about your holdings
To sync your data across your devices
To send price alerts and notifications you've opted into
To improve the App through aggregated, anonymized usage analytics
To show relevant ads to free-tier users (see Advertising below)
To manage your Buck Pro subscription

3. Third-Party Services

Buck uses the following third-party services to operate. Each may process limited data as described below, under their own privacy policies.

4. Advertising

Free-tier users may see ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may use advertising identifiers to serve relevant ads. You can reset or limit ad tracking through your device's system settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking; Android: Settings → Ads).

Buck Pro subscribers do not see ads.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers listed above, strictly to operate the App, and where required by law.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your account and portfolio data are retained as long as your account is active. You can delete individual positions, transactions, or your entire account at any time from within the App. Deleting your account removes your personal data from our active systems, except where retention is required for legal or fraud-prevention purposes.

7. Your Choices

You can edit or delete your portfolio data at any time within the App
You can disable notifications in your device settings
You can opt out of ad personalization via your device's ad settings
You can request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting us

8. Children's Privacy

Buck is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

10. Not Financial Advice

Buck is a portfolio tracking tool. Any commentary, analysis, or "roasting" generated by the App is for entertainment and informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date below.
